White-footed Ant

Worker body is blackish brown to black, and the tarsi are pale yellow.

Nests indoors are in wall voids, potted plants, and household materials; there may be several satellite nests. Trails are made outside buildings and indoors along the edges of baseboards and carpeting.

Colony. Winged females emerge in May and June. Indoors, they feed on sweets.
