Field Cockroach

Adults are yellowish brown with a dark brown to black region between the eyes that extends to the mouthparts. Longitudinal stripes on the pronotum are blackish brown. Nymphs are pale yellow; large nymphs are yellowish orange.

Egg case is light brown with distinct indications of the egg compartments. Hatching is in about 20 days; females produce about eight egg cases. Development takes 45 to 56 days. Adults live 100 to 150 days.

Habits. This cockroach occurs around buildings and moves indoors during dry weather. It is active during the day, but also is found around streetlights at night.
